Q1. Please let me know who can apply for K-ETA (K-ETA Application)

 

 

Due to COVID-19, citizens of 50 countries/regions who wish to enter Korea without a visa (see Table 1) can apply for K-ETA.

 

– Since K-ETA took effect on September 1, 2021, those who previously entered Korea without a visa must apply for K-ETA. Airlines may deny boarding to nationals of countries eligible for the program if they do not have a valid K-ETA.

 

– Citizens of 62 countries/regions where visa-free entry has been temporarily suspended (refer to Table 2) must obtain a visa at a diplomatic mission in Korea (as of January 2022).

Q3. Please tell me what is the purpose of the visit that allows you to enter Korea with K-ETA

 

K-ETA is an online travel permit that must be issued before entering the Republic of Korea for the purpose of tourism, visits to relatives, attendance at events or gatherings, or business (except for commercial purposes) to nationals of visa-free entry countries. activity). If the purpose of your visit falls under these guidelines, you can use K-ETA to enter the country without a visa. If you are visiting for the purpose of employment, study, immigration, etc., you must obtain an appropriate visa from the Korean diplomatic mission abroad.

Q4. Please tell me how to enter the address of where I will be staying

 

To search for an address, click the [Find Postal Code] button and enter the 5-digit postal code and street name (excluding building numbers) in English in the 'Find Address' pop-up window. The process does not continue with Korean text and special characters such as hyphens (-).

 

 

 

Q5. When I upload my photos, it says the file size is exceeded. please tell me what to do

 

Due to high traffic volume, photo file size is limited to 100KB and 700 x 700 pixels. If you can't resize your picture, install the K-ETA mobile application to take a new picture, it will be resized and uploaded automatically.
